11/13/03: After viewing a cool three minute video of his rise in the local scene, Evan is presented with the "Stand Out Artist" Award. Cage9 closes the televised, M.t.v.-style awards ceremony with 3 songs and encored with the song "W" which won "Best Video" at last year's ceremony. The band was also presented with an honorary plaque by Radio Mix. Attendance is 2,000-plus! (click pix to view)

the Liquid show
11/15/03: Big Fat Hen opens and Evan jumps in on guitar during "Your Prize." BFH's Jason also guests on D'jembe for an acoustic jam of "Nobody's Home" during Cage9's 2 hour set. Cage9 plays to a near sold-out 1,200 capacity room, with a mix of songs from their past 4 CDs like "Sticks n' Stones" & "Dying for Ages," as well as some brand new tracks like the local hit "Sick of It!" and the hard-core-ish "Emergency." They close with the epic "Fear and Sex" and after 10 minutes of sub-sonic feedback and screams for "OTRA" (or one more), they encore with "Li'l Doggies" and again with "Ungodly Fizzle." The crowd body-surfs, moshes and sings along from beginning to end!
